Corn Starch

Corn Starch

Corn Starch is a fine powdery starch made from the endosperm of a corn kernel. It can be consumed directly as it is use in many different applications such as a thickening agent, binder etc.

But it plays a pivotal role as a raw material for starch sugar. It is famously used in food, pharmaceutical, chemical and other industries.

At UPE we use the world-famous steeping-grinding-separation-drying technique for producing corn starch as it efficiently use the entire corn kernel, with minimal wastage. The water is also re used in a closed loop cycle where there is no wastage of water which reduces water consumption and increases efficiency. Additionally it contributes towards sustainable development by reducing pollution and energy consumption.
